- What up squadfam Added December 04, 2022★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆For someone trying to wrap their head around banking and its in and outs, the staff here gave me an even more awful headache than before. I came in wanting to retrieve a past bank account and asked to know my BSB and account number. The lady at the counter, wearing a smug frown with furrowed eyebrows, then asked for my ID. When I provided my student ID, she rudely tossed it aside. I gave her my passport and she noticed it was expired which I wasn't aware of. The lady gruffly asserted that she needed "current" ID to give me my BSB and account number. What should've taken only a minute or two extended out to a time-consuming battle of words. Even when I provided proof of identity and my physical existence to demonstrate that it was me who wanted to access the account, the lady still refused to budge! I tried to ask her to explain why my ID was invalid but she kept cutting me off with the same vague answer about "policy". Finally, she wrote the BSB and account number on a post-it note and slid it over to me. I believe she was also bigoted towards me as I was a different skin colour compared to most. I guess a kerfuffle with her was unavoidable considering her atrocious attitude and racist tendencies. It's hard to continue banking here after such horrendous customer experience. Go to Westpac instead.
